According to him, 307 international delegates from 51 countries will attend, and around 200 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will showcase their products and services. Former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu, who is the Chairman of the summit's Board of Advisors, shared that this edition of the Amazing Goa Global Business summit will emphasize cutting-edge technology, including machine learning and artificial intelligence. He emphasized that the summit's focus is on attracting sustainable investments that respect Goa’s natural environment, which is crucial for preserving the state’s unique culture and ecology. Prabhu added that while other states often compete for investment, this summit stands out due to its efforts to actively involve the local community in its activities.
In addressing the balance between development and environmental protection, Prabhu suggested to Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant the need for conducting a scientific study on the state's carrying capacity. Given Goa’s landmass, which includes forests, wetlands, and other ecologically sensitive zones, Prabhu emphasized the importance of conducting a thorough study to ensure that development doesn’t overwhelm the state's natural resources. He also stressed the importance of engaging with local residents before any major developmental projects are introduced.
Rajkumar Kamat, Chairman of Vibrant Goa Foundation, emphasized that the summit will offer knowledge sessions and foster interaction between international delegates and local participants. The event also seeks to provide young students with exposure to industry experts, offering them opportunities to engage directly with professionals and industrialists.
Manoj Patil, Vice President of Vibrant Goa Foundation, pointed out that the summit is not just about business; it aims to bridge the gap between industry and young talent, providing students with valuable insights into industry practices and fostering learning and innovation.
