MANILA, Philippines — Cebu Pacific is targeting another record year in terms of passenger volume in 2025 after opening new routes and increasing capacity with the delivery of additional jets.

Xander Lao, president and chief commercial officer of the budget carrier, said in a press briefing on Tuesday they were projecting a passenger volume growth of about 20 percent this year after servicing 24.5 million guests in 2024.

This was after the country’s headline inflation further slowed to 1.9 percent in September, the lowest recorded since the 1.6 percent rate logged in May 2020.

In its latest report, the BAI said the volume of imported meat inched up by 7.8 percent to 757.3 million kilograms in the first seven months of this year from 702.24 million kg in the same period a year ago.
